Who is he?

Peterson Jean-Marie is a singer-songwriter, and storyteller based in Tampa Bay whose work blends faith, artistry, and humor in a way that resonates across cultures and generations.

His music weaves together the heart of contemporary worship, the soul of R&B, and the passion of gospel — crafted to inspire faith, unity, and hope in every listener. But alongside the depth of his worship expression, Peterson brings a joyful, comedic side to his platform through his animated series Shorty’s Stories, where he uses humor and relatable experiences to connect with audiences in a fresh, creative way.

Born to Caribbean parents and raised in Florida, Peterson’s multicultural upbringing shaped both his sound and his storytelling. That blend of cultures became the foundation for his unique artistic voice — a melting pot of soul, rhythm, worship, and humor.

His journey began at 14 with a saxophone in hand as part of his school marching band. That early spark grew into a deeper calling when he joined his youth worship team and realized music could be both a creative outlet and a form of ministry. From choirs to small ensembles, Peterson embraced every opportunity to grow, developing into the passionate artist he is today.

Today, Peterson uses both music and comedy to encourage, uplift, and bring people together. Whether through a heartfelt worship moment or a hilarious animated short, his mission remains the same:
to share the love of God, spread joy, and remind people of the healing power found in faith, laughter, and authentic connection.
